What are the three keys to having a super abundant, happy and fulfilling life? You’re going to love this…
When we make our lives happy, fulfilled and blissful, we help everybody that we come into contact with do the same thing. It doesn’t make sense if you’re having a miserable or average day that you think you can help someone to have a great day, right? The only way we can ever help someone else to be happy, healthy, wealthy and successful is for us to be happy, healthy, wealthy and successful ourselves first. We get to show others that it’s possible by showing them the way, and we actually know the way because we’ve been on the journey ourselves.
Calvin Coolidge, the 30th president of the USA, said, “…the world is full of educated derelicts.” You see, everybody knows what to do; most people aren’t doing what they know. And it’s in the doing that we develop, not in the knowing. For example, everybody knows that if you want to be in better shape you need to exercise regularly and eat well as a regime. Everybody knows this, yet 65% of people around the world are overweight and out of shape. See, we all know it but we’re not doing it! It’s in the doing that we produce the results.
So the first key to having a blissfully happy life with wealth and abundance, being in top health and fitness, achieving your grand dream goals, having a magical relationship with the partner of your dreams (and yes, if you’re in a relationship that can still be with the one you’re with and make it more magical!) is:
1. MAKE A DECISION. Not an “I hope…”. Not an “I wish…”. Not an “I should…”. Most people end up ‘shoulding’ all over themselves! Should is never powerful enough to make you want to change. Think about it: has there ever been a time in your life when you told yourself that you should do something and you still didn’t do it? Has there ever been a time in your life when you told yourself that you shouldn’t do something but you went and did it anyway?
A decision is a must. “I have to do this.” “I’m not backing down.” “I am doing this.” Not, “I am going to do this.” I am doing this.
If you say, “I am going to do this…” basically you’re saying, “I’m not doing it now”, and your brain sees the image of you not doing it now, and maybe doing it in the future. And your brain is going to keep producing what it consistently sees in the image of your mind. So if you keep seeing the change happening in the future instead of ‘the now’ it’s kind of like holding a stick with a carrot hanging off the end – no matter where you walk the carrot stays the same distance away from you. So you have to start seeing yourself in your mind doing it right now.
So we have to make the decision – I am changing. And in order for things to change, I must change first. That’s what you need to be saying. The world isn’t going to change. I must change first.
2. COMMIT. You have to be committed to the decision you make. So everyday throughout the day, you need to stand yourself up and say, “I must change first.” It’s the only way the world around you is going to change – if you change. Because everything we see on the outside world is nothing more than a reflection of what we see in our internal world. And when we start changing the way we look at the world, the world we’re looking at will change. When we start changing the way we look at the people in our life, the people we look at will change. And yes, the first thing you need to change is us, because when we change we’ll change the way we look at things, we change the way we participate in things, and we change the results we produce. It’s cause and effect. Every cause creates an effect. Every action creates a certain result.
Be committed to your decision. Everyday that you put it on the backburner, and you don’t get to it, it gets further away from your consciousness and it loses more and more enthusiasm and momentum. Pretty soon it goes on the pile of dreams that you never got to. And it doesn’t end there because throughout your life you’re going to feel the pain of those dead dreams of those decisions that you didn’t follow through on. And at the end of your life you’re going to have a massive amount of regret. Remember that however you leave this life is how you start the next one.
3. BE CONSISTENT. It’s not what you do once in a while that counts, it’s what you do consistently. No one works out once and becomes buffed for the rest of their life! We have to be consistent with working on personal development. And by personal development I’m not just talking about motivation and positive thinking, although those are valuable tools, but they’re not the only tools. Personal development means you’re developing your person into becoming a more developed version of yourself. And that new evolution of you, that more evolved version of yourself, will think new thoughts you’ve never thought before, and in a way that you’ve never thought before. Then you’ll act in a way that you’ve never done before and do things in a way you’ve never done before, and that will always produce new results that you’ve never had before. Make sense, right?
When would now be the right time to make that decision? Right now? Good answer! Make the decision right now. “I’m changing my life” or “I’m changing my financial situation.”
Importantly, we want to fulfil all the areas of our experience – mind, body and spirit. Those are the 3 areas that need to be fulfilled on a regular basis, and you want to be working on all those 3 areas and evolving in each of them. And if one of those areas are lacking, well that means that’s not a holistically fulfilled life.
Think of the body for a moment… do things that feel good for the body and that feel pleasurable! Don’t think that giving those things up will make you more spiritual. We’re feeling creatures, so to rob us of those things that make us feel good – well that’s a sin!
And we can’t just focus on the body and think that will fulfil us. Think of the mind now. Evolving your mind through education not only improves your own life but what you can do on the planet to make this world a better place. It takes wealth to go have experiences that evolve the mind, like go to university, undertake courses, travel around the world…yes, some experiences do cost more money! And remember that wealthy people can do the experiences poor people can, yet poor people can’t do the experiences wealthy people can. So as you see, wealth gives you choices, and more choices give you freedom. And that’s what we want – more freedom!
Spirit is self-love. It’s biblical: “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” And love, by the way, is the most powerful force on the universe. If you look at what gives people the motivation and inspiration to be great and do powerful things more than any other reason, it’s the power of love. Love of themselves, love of their family, love of their children, love of their country, love of mankind – LOVE. The most powerful force. So how do we connect to that one source? Self-love. Now that’s being spiritual.
Think about it for a moment: would love want you to be poor? Would love want your kids to be poor or to suffer, or be stressed out or have ill health? Of course not! So why do we allow that for ourselves? Make the decision to change it. For yourself first, and then you’re going to change your environment and the world around you. You’ll be helping your kids, your partner…giving them a more fulfilled, joyous and experiential life. Then stay committed to it!
You’re going to have to invest in yourself to be able to put these three keys in place. You simply have to put something in to get something out. For example, you can’t go up to a fireplace and ask it for heat before you give it the log! It just isn’t going to happen! You have to put the log in first to get the heat out.
The best investment you can ever make is in your own personal development. Because when you develop yourself to be a better person, a more educated person, a more abundant person, you’re going to spread that abundance, joy and happiness to everyone around you. When you have wealth in your life, you show other people that they too can be wealthy and better than that you can show them how to do it because you’ve already done it. When you’re a person that achieves grand dream goals in life, you can inspire others to do it and show them how they can do it. Look at the word investment: it’s right there in the word: Investment = “I invest in me.”
Develop yourself to being a better person now: a more successful person, a more wealthy person. Isn’t now the right time to make your life the very best it can be? Remember, I’m here not to teach you content but to help you facilitate real lasting change in your life.
